As the father of my daughter who has evolving cerebral palsy, I could not have been more impressed with the therapy she received. We saw a significant improvement after only the first few sessions. The staff are professional, talented and extremely personable. I could not recommend Ability Therapies enough and will certainly continue to take my daughter there in the future.

My little boy James has undergone 2 courses of CIMT now with Kirsty and Mel, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They consistently make the therapy fun and engaging, so we have never had that struggle to persuade him to participate, which has been a huge relief and a thrill to watch. The noticeable difference in James left arm and hand are huge, and has helped him feel less physically frustrated, which is life changing. We've fine tuned which therapies work the best for James' hemiplegia and which ones we want to be consistent moving forward with, Kirsty and Mel are top of the list, Thank you x

We found Kirsty at Ability Therapies several years ago and I'm so glad we did! We are about to start our third block of intensive CIMT hand therapy and I can say without a doubt that my son wouldn't be where he is today without her input. Not only is she an extremely knowledgeable and forward thinking therapist, her relationship with my son is lovely to see. He loves her funny, crazy games and she always targets her approach effortlessly to his interests and his mood, both indoors and outdoors.
Last time we did CIMT he cried when we were finished and it was time to take the cast off. We travel from Kent to Essex to visit Ability Therapies because I haven't found anywhere locally or in London that compares to the exceptional and well-priced service they offer.
Kirsty also uses (and has helped us access at home) FES and the SaeboStim Micro glove.

Thank you so much Kirsty and Mel for making H CIMT block so much fun (for him) and stress free (for us) Your care, expertise and knowledge has made the 3 weeks fly by and H is using his hand so much more!

When Jack first met Kirsty, at 2.5 years old, he couldn't even hold himself in a sitting position. With Kirsty's ability, patience and four years of hard work, she has taught him to walk unaided. Something that we were once told he would never do. We are now working on other skills, negotiating uneven surfaces, improving gross and fine motor skills, etc. With Kirsty's range of qualifications and enthusiasm for success, the possibilities are endless. It's a real pleasure to see her at work and she's made a huge difference to our family.

I have 100% faith in these lovely physios! Kirsty helped my little girl so much and I know she will continue to help her for years to come! Can't recommend highly enough!

Mel is a fantastic physiotherapist. She has been working with our son Freddie for around 3 years now, and her input has improved his life immeasurably.
Mel is knowledgeable and helpful, while also being playful and instinctively knowing how to get the most out of Freddie during his sessions and inspiring him to continue working on his physio between sessions. Her commitment to development is evident, as she's always researching and learning, and passing that knowledge on to us. Mel has also worked closely with our NHS provision and school to ensure our son's physiotherapy requirements are supported in all settings. We feel very lucky to have Mel as part of our team.

My son has been seeing Melanie for physiotherapy since 2018. From the first time we met Melanie we just knew there and then she was so passionate about what she does and would do everything she could to help my son achieve his goals to walk and run. Melanie is such a caring, kind, compassionate person, who has an abundance of patience (which she very much needed with my son). Over the years she has made physio less of a chore and lots of fun for my son so he looked forward to going to see her every single week! My son is coming on leaps and bounds now and I can honestly not thank Melanie enough for these years as he wouldn't be where he is now without her help.

I can't thank and recommend Mel enough as a physio. My daughter has enjoyed working with her for a few years now. I truly believe it is thanks to Mel's input pre surgery, building up my daughter's core strength that, now 4 months post SDR my daughter is making fantastic progress. We were so lucky to have Mel pre surgery, and then to see her friendly face whilst we were in hospital. To now be able to continue physio with her post SDR, with her huge knowledge base, is just brilliant.

I will forever be thankful for the work Mel and Kirsty have done with my little girl Darcie over the last 3 years. They have enabled her to
achieve life changing skills which even the professionals said may not be possible. We have had numerous physio therapists but there really is nobody around like these 2 amazing ladies. They put so much passion, love and fun in to every single session for every single child. The bond Darcie has with both of these amazing ladies is so special. Their experience and knowledge is invaluable and I can not think of a better team than these 2 together.
Kirsty, Mel - Without you my little girl wouldn't be able to walk. I owe you so much and I cannot wait to continue working with you to see what you can help Darcie to achieve. The sky is the limit!
